Pathfinders – helpers needed urgently
As you are aware, from February half term Hiede will be stepping down from her youth work commitment with the Church. This is so she can focus on her university studies and job.
As our members include boys and girls it is essential that every meeting has a male and female adult present. We are currently looking at the option of using parents to help with the supervision of the group. If you would be willing to help on a regular or occasional basis, please speak to Nigel or Hiede ASAP. Providing that enough help is forthcoming and the church leadership approve we will continue meeting. If we are not able to find a workable solution, the group will probably close at half term.
Before we make a final decision we need to make sure we have explored all of the options available to us such as:
- Meeting on a different night
- Finding another leader from the church
- Seeing if the other churches can help
- Asking parents to help
If you have any other ideas or know of someone who might be able to help, please let us know. Note that any helper / parent would need to:
- be 18 years+
- be sympathetic towards the Christian faith
- work within the our child protection procedure

The planned dates for this term are Feb 6th, Feb 27th March 13th, March 27th.
Next Pathfinders – 6th February
Note that our next Pathfinder meeting will be on 6th February.
Soup Lunch: Sunday 1st February 11:30am – 1:30ish
On Sunday 1st February, we’re going to prepare a simple soup and roll lunch at the Church hall to raise funds for Pathfinders. We need your help to serve, set-up, wash up etc….you can also help by providing a dessert. If you are able to help in anyway or need tickets please let us know.
